Natacha Ivanova

Natacha Ivanova 's work is inspired by mythology with images of animals and the nude female form. Wolves, swans and owls engage with women to become the main characters of her pictures : "I create bold experiments with female sensuality and sexuality, in many respects, my work conveys secret confessions and stories about my life, which is partly why I lend my characters my own qualities and features". Natacha Ivanova produces often huge paintings, with subject matter that is conveyed by way of subtle details and gestures. Her style is hallmarked by an unexpected use of empty space : "I'm free to abandon the classical rules of composition, I have developed an asymmetry inspired by modern cinema, Andrey Tarkovsky, Alfred Hitchcock and Ingmar Bergman have all has a strong influence".

Peter Horvath

Peter Horvath works in video, sound, photo and new media. Camera in hand since age 6, he inhaled darkroom fumes until his late 20‘s, then began exploring time based art processes. He immersed himself in digital technologies at the birth of the Web, co-founded 6168.org, a site for net.art, and adopted techniques of photomontage which he uses in his net and print based works.

In Boulevard we follow a striking woman, the passenger of a convertible car, driven by an unidentified driver through the city, passing its generic streets, billboards and motels, with an unknown destination.
At once lyrical and intoxicatingly beautiful, we pass through discrete emotive atmospheres experiencing ambiguity, desire and longing.

Truth tag

truthtag, an “industrial designer and urban intervention artist” from Poland who works under the pseudonym “Truth” and creates, to the best of our knowledge, the first example architectural graffiti.
Sometimes hidden and at other times in plain view, the designs are crafted as though they were actually built into the buildings they’re stuck to. The beautiful, alien result makes a strong argument for the “graffiti is art” movement.

Li Songsong

He is an artist who records moments of recent Chinese history in a dispassionate manner that is countered by the way in which he manipulates the painted surface with a vigorous impasto of paint marks on aluminium panels. His paintings are constructed in rectangular sections with each part painted separately. By juxtaposing these segments, Li concentrates formally on parts of the painting rather than the whole.
Li Songsong is concerned with the intrinsic humanity that underpins all the images he appropriates and the memories they have the potential to bring to mind in his audience.

Frédéric Gaillard

"Behind these agitated machines, shaken by electrical discharges, points a form of existential questioning.
Behind the movement of
Frédéric Gaillard’s installations, beyond their jubilant animation, from the falsely childlike extravaganza that seems to overtake them, the awareness takes shape of the inevitable end which awaits all living organisms. The amusing comedy conceals the tragic theatre. In this sense, Frédéric Gaillard’s works can be seen as vainness: every birth is an inevitable prey for death. It’s better to know, just so you can be prepared for it"
Pierre-Olivier Rollin, curator

Tim Trantenroth

unexpected and neglected architecture

"Our society once erected singular and surprising buildings in all domains, including industry. Many cities keep traces of this glorious past but despite a seeming awakening towards the architectural inheritance of the IXth and XXth Centuries, numerous unexpected monuments are today on the way to rot or, the worst being destroyed." Yves Marchand and Romain Meffre
