Paulo Nenflidio explores the link between visual arts, music and technology. His “contraptions” can emit different kinds of sounds autonomously, stimulated by wind, changes in light, or the participation of the spectator. Nenflidio investigates dichotomies that arise between the single object and the industrialized one, High Culture and Pop. Besides sculptures, the artist constructs sound-producing devices that he himself plays in electro-acoustic performances.
