Youssef Nabil

Portraits, self-portraits, clothes, objects, studio settings go to make up, like mosaic tesserae, a kind of diary of Youssef Nabil (Cairo, 1972). The young artist seems intent on appropriating life and its lapsus – death – through the photographic shot, subsequently colouring his black and white images by hand.
