Ignas Krunglevicius investigates power and violence through installation, video, and sound works, which often times directly confront the viewers by questioning the deceptiveness of perceptions. Krunglevicius poignantly examines the psychology of power play, mind control mechanisms and the Game theory that generates meaning within the context of social-political orders and cognitive codes.
Krunglevicius deliberately brings original references, such as documented crime plots or police interrogations into his works and displays in a highly minimalist, yet interactive manner of sound and text synchronized and pushing the viewer’s psychology into an extreme level of emotional involvement and frustration.
