Andrej Dubravsky was born in 1987 in Bratislava, where he lives in a small flat with his mum. He studied sculpture in the past, and now he's in art school focusing mainly on traditional painting. His pictures often portray bunnies, young boys, or mature men. "I frequently paint young boys together with older guys in expensive cars. To me, cars are a status symbol. Boys with bunny ears represent young greenhorns like me. The bunnies are some sort of Fauns from the pictures of old masters, but with a kinky, contemporary twist," says Andrej. His work plays with gay cultural stereotypes and bursts with colour and imagination. Apart from painting and sculpture, Andrej enjoys mushroom hunting, walking his pug dog, and travelling.
